Unfortunately, I write this blog in state of shoe insecurity as I attend an international conference with a slew of Japanese gentlemen who are completely unaware of the seriousness of their shoe swag. They have put my Steve Madden dress boots to shame. My shoe insecurity is so thick right now I don’t feel comfortable doing my infamous “distinguished gentlemen” pose where I put on foot over the opposite knee, lean to the side and look interested in what is being discussed.

Gentlemen, we really can learn a lot from our Japanese brothers especially when it comes to their shoe game. If you’re ever attending an international meeting, my advice is to Step It Up, because international distinction is on an entirely different level. Below are some prescriptions for your shoe illness.
