Remember when broaches came “back in style” a few years ago and everyone somehow decided it was cool to wear them? I’ve never been one of those people. I wear things because I like them, not because a fashion magazine or runway show tells me it’s cool to do so. Case in point, I don’t know (or care) if anyone else is still wearing broaches, but I happen to believe they’re a fabulous look.
I’d been dying to find a Chanel-inspired jacket to pin one to and I uncovered the Coldwater Creek Paisley Sequined Pin yesterday and knew it had to come home with me.

I typically would never be caught wearing anything from Coldwater Creek, not that anything’s wrong with the store, it’s just a little too mature for me. While we were out shopping – yes, as a family which can be somewhat annoying, yet beneficial – I discovered a few small things that I had to slide on the counter while the sales lady was ringing everything up.
The Coldwater Creek Mixed Media Knotted Scarf is available in red, majestic purple and true cobalt. Since red isn’t really my color and I already have a purple infinity scarf, I decided on the blue. Smart choice if I do say so myself. The store is having an awesome 50% off storewide sale until Friday so we got it at a great deal.

I’m all about a little over-the-top style from time to time. As one of my friends said a few days ago, “When people don’t understand fashion it makes them stare…I’m enjoying the stares right now”. I couldn’t agree more. I’m in love with the a-morir by Kerin.Rose Concerto Headband. I’ve developed a thing for headbands over the last few weeks and I really, really want something with feathers. The headband, also available in purple and black, is made of 100% dyed rooster feathers. The handmade feather piece sits to the side of a faux leather headband. Love it! For my fashionably frugal lovelies, no worries, I’ve found other well-priced options.
