I love all designers but Jimmy Choo is by far one of my favorite, I rarely see a shoe that doesn’t grab my attention. Unfortunately, they’re all very expensive so I put them into my Fantasy Files. The Jimmy Choo Darcy Sandals are no different. The metallic pony caged in sandal sits 4 1/2″ high with cut out detail that makes them show stoppers. Being priced at $1,115.00 also makes them a pocket breaker. I would love to turn some heads rocking them, but I’ll have to save a lot of pennies, nickels and dimes so they’re forever be in my Fantasy File. Are you feeling this Fantasy File? If I were the totally fabulous 2010 Cinderella minus having to do all of that ridiculous cleaning and scrubbing on my hands and knees, the Le Silla Jewel D’orsey Pumps are exactly what I’d wearing. The peep toe shoes, priced at a whopping $2,795.00 feature sky high heel and are adorned with breathtaking jewels. I’m nowhere near a point of finding an acceptable reason to spend that amount of money of shoes, so I’ll continue to admire them from afar. As soon as I saw the Broussard Dulce Moccasin Wedges, I felt all warm and fuzzy inside. How can you not love them? The wedges are available in black, brown and neutral, but by far the brown are my absolute favorite.

The wedge is taking the “prep” looking to a completley sophisticated, high style level. The only downside to the purchase is the fact that I find it virtually impossible to wear close-toe shoes before September and I just couldn’t imagine having to wait months before getting the opportunity to wear them. *thinking* They are far more appropriate for Fall, so maybe the wait wouldn’t be so bad after all.

I get such a military feel from the Giuseppe Zanotti Cross Over Studded Sandals. The rounded open toe sandals feature wide canvas straps with flat silver metal studs all over and a leather stitched upper with zip closure. I’m sure I’ve said it before but Giuseppe Zanotti is one of my faaavvvvorite designers. Maybe one day, I’ll be willing to fork over the coins to get a pair of my very own. Until then, I’ll admire them on websites, magazines and celebrities feet who they’re given to enough though they can afford to…*takes deep breath* I digress.

If the Versace Python Cutout Platform Boots look familiar to you, you may have seem them Wednesday on everyone’s favorite new Barbie gone oh so wrong rap gimmick artist, Nicki Minaj. She wore them during a visit to BETs 106 & Park on Wednesday.

The orange python cutout long boots with tan leather inserts have a nearly 7″ heel and 3″ receded platform. The open toes feature pink stitch detail, tan stretch panels at side of foot a silver heel and a pink and orange strap at toes.

Quite possibly the illest flat boots/sandals I’ve seen, the Sigerson Morrison Tall Bracelet Boots make the way to the top of my list of reasons why flat sandals are ok. I’ve pretty much always been a heels-kind-of girl, but I’d be lying if I said I weren’t loving the fact that diversity is king – or queen – now.

The boots feature silver hardware embellished elastic straps and a full back zip that supports approximate 16 3/4″ shaft. Something tells me if you have any type of calf muscles, you might just have a difficult time wearing them. Be sure to comment and let me know what you think.

I don’t know how or when my feet would ever make it into a pair of wedge sandals quite so d*mn ridiculously over the top badass, but I’ll be ready when – or if- that day comes. I think I’d have to make a cameo in a Lady Gaga video if I were wearing this babies. Either that or make my way onto a stage red carpet.

Usually, when I like something at Steve Madden I never buy it at first because, I know in a few months it will be on sale. Once again, I was right. The Steve Madden Takenn Berry Suede Pumps caught my eye when I first saw them, but I honestly didn’t want to pay $99.95. Now, they’re on sale for $49.95 – that’s more like it. *big smile*

The sexy pumps have 4 1/2″ heel and 1/2″ platform, They’d would look great paired with just about everything. Am I crazy for not really wanting them now that they’re on sale? If you checked out Fantasy Files Friday, you saw the snakeskin version of the Jimmy Choo Gleny Sandal. Browsing through sites, I came across Steve Madden Nanciee Sandals. We all k now Steve Madden is known for ripping off other people’s designs design-inspired looks and I can’t say that I’m upset because I really liked the Jimmy Choo Gleny Sandals. Let’s be real. I would never pay $995.00 for them so seeing a similar version for only $79.95 made me light up. The subtle difference between the two shoes is the 5″5″ heel on the Steve Madden sandals vs. the 4.7″ on the Jimmy Choo sandals. Maybe it’s just me, but the zipper accent seems to standout more on the Jimmy Choo Gleny Sandals.

By now, you all know I love accessories, so I was immediately attracted to the Roberto Cavalli Chain-detailed Leather Sandals. It’s like wearing a bib necklace on your feet. The big difference though – accessories don’t usually cost $1,035. The sandals has 4.5″ heel and removable gold metal chains which is great because it seems like you have two different shoes. I’m thinking for that price, they should also turn into winter boots. #ImJustSaying. I’ll have to save a lot of pennies to be able to afford them. So in my Fantasy File they’ll remain. You can’t lose with Jimmy Choo but you can go broke if you ever wanted to treat your feet to a pair. I have to admit that Jimmy Choo designs some badass shoes but expensive is an understatement. The gladiator style platforms are gorgeous but the price will put a dent in your pocket for a while. Lately, I have been into animal prints – leopard to be exact, but the Jimmy Choo Gleny Snakeskin Platform Sandals have shifted my focus to snakeskin.

The shoes have a teetering 4.7″ heel with a zipper closing. I love them *Sigh* but I would never, and I do mean never, pay this much for a shoe so in my Fantasy Files they stay. Be sure to let us know how you feel about this Fantasy File.

It’s All Bout The Wedge: Michael Antonio Hagen Wedges

I wonder how many cute shoes I’ve passed up because the stock image did it no justice. Case in point, the Michael Antonio Hagen Wedges. If I hadn’t seen them on the model, they wouldn’t have even been on my radar. The gladiator-inspired sandals feature a 4 1/2″ wedge and1 1/4″ platform and are available in green as well as cream. I have so many pairs of black and brown sandals that I think I’m going to solely focus on bringing color into the mix this Spring.

If you aren’t familiar with Michael Antonio designs, you should be. It’s a super affordable collection that is usually right on trend. But, can we talk about how their sandals are nearly more pricey than their boots? I mean, $70 isn’t alot for shoes, but #ImJustSaying…#WhoDoesThat

Have I told you all how I Can.Not.Wait. until Spring? I am so over closed-toe shoes and deary skies. Obviously in sync with the Spring 2010 Color Palette, the Michael Antonio Grayson Wedges get my personal stamp of approval. Because I’m a tall stylista, I have to be careful when shopping as I don’t want to look like Eddie Munster in sky high wedges. That looks is so not hot.

I check out Heels.com today and found the GUESS by Marciano Barlow Cage Stilettos. The label happens to be on my list of likes, even though they don’t carry a 12. I’ve decided that I won’t hold it against them, for now. On Heels.com, the sandals were priced at $219.99. I like to price shop – online only, I don’t have that time for the foolishness of driving around from store to store – so I Google’d the style and low and behold, I found them on Marciano website for a whopping $75 less! I’ll be d*mned. So, see what I mean? It does pay to shop around. A few extra clicks of the mouse never hurt anyone.

The stilettos feature a T strap in nude and gold snakeskin-patterned leather with a 3/4″ platform and a 5″ stacked stiletto heel. I don’t think you guys understand how excited I am for warm weather, so shopping for sandals is one of the highlights of my day. The Bebe Scarlet Printed Sandals are bursting with color so it’s great for a spring/summer day. There are so many colors in the shoes that you can pretty much wear them whatever you like. Now ladies, that does NOT mean you should try wearing every color in the shoe…at the same time. Don’t let me find out… I have to admit I’m a little nervous about the tying of the scarf. Imagine being at an event and a scarf keeps sliding…#nobueno.

In order for me to ever own the Nicholas Kirkwood Alligator Platforms, I would need the help of the tooth fairy, Santa, the good grade fairy and Willie Wonka. I was blown away when I saw the price tag. Nearly $7,000 – well, let’s face it, with tax…yep $7,000 for something to go on my feet. INSANE! I like the purple/magenta like alligator sandals, but under what circumstances would one every pay so much for one pair of shoes?! You’ve got to be kidding me. They’re hot, but $7,000 hot? The How-To Guide: How To Shop For Shoes

Lucky Mag always delivers when it comes to great how-to guides. Some of the points, like walking on a hard surface when trying on shoes was something I never thought about. When you do think about it, it makes perfect sense. Heels often feel a lot different and a lot less comfortable when you don’t have the soft cushion beneath.

I still refuse to agree with kitten heels though. I usually find myself pretty wobbly in them so I rather go “big” or simply stick to a flat. Kitten heels just make no sense to me. *shrugs*

In Transition: Blowfish Open Toe Booties

I find myself at a bit of a crossroad. I’m so excited that Spring is near, but then I realize that I have one too many pairs of boots that I have yet to wear. I think I went a little overboard shopping this Winter and I find myself with a pair of purple booties, a pair of chocolatey gray leather booties and about three pairs of pumps that I have yet to get around to wearing. I promised myself that over the next two weeks, I will wear everything at least once before it gets too warm.

Since we’re talking about boots, I thought the Blowfish Open Toe Booties would be a great transition pair. The vegan leather booties are also available in black and taupe but this nude is my favorite. FYI: Nude is so hot for Sprig 2010. Be sure to comment and let me know what you think.

To the model in these pictures: Work out much?! Her legs so remind me of Ciara’s, but moving right along. The 4″ leather Chinese Laundry Famous Stars Heels have a whole lot of sex appeal and the tassel gives it a certain naughty school girl charm.

Aside from my workout sneakers and these, I’m not a sneaker chic. On the other hand, I found myself incredibly anxious for the Lacoste + Married to the Mob Hiromi Lace Sneakers to be released. I saw a sneak peak of the design a while ago and immediately liked them. I’d describe them as adorably feminine and sweet.

Sidebar: I totally did not realize that my tights and polish matched. Funny and so not on purpose, but I digress. Yes, I’m in love with gray, so how could I pass up this second find at the Nine West Outlet store? The store had a buy one, get on 50% off sale so I made out like a bandit. Two pair for about $85 with these were that much alone.

The suede and leather peep toe pumps feature a 4″ heel and ruching detail at the toe. I plan to get one of two good wears out of them as soon as it gets warm enough. For the first time ever, I went to a Nine West outlet store this past weekend. I’ve never been into outlet shopping and can probably count the times I’ve been to an outlet mall one hand, but I must say that I was pleased with my purchases. I my mind, items in outlines were from seasons upon seasons ago, but this was not the case…at least for Nine West. Majority of shoes were from last season because I saw quite a few pair that I have in my closet. I’m not so much caught up on whether a shoe came out this year or last year because after all, don’t we wear shoes we bought last Summer anyway? Think about it.

The Nine West Aromao Sandals are available in black, chocolate and the cognac-like color that I purchased. I forgot to look on the box because the name of the color was kind of different. Either way, I look forward to wearing these 4″ heels this Summer. My favorite part about them is the three strap buckles. I do so much shopping online that I forget what the experience is like to try on shoes in-store. I thinking I’ve been depriving myself. There’s no better feeling than instantly slipping on a pair of shoes and deciding right then and there whether or not they’re going home with you. I looked at the Nine West Sacha Sandals a few times online but wasn’t quite ready to purchase them…that was until I tried them on in-store.

By far, the 3″ sandals are quite possibly one of the most comfortable heels I’ve tried on in a minute. I hadn’t purchased anything less than 4″ in quite some time – with the exception of flat boots for the winter – so the shorter heel came as a pleasant surprise.

Time and time again, I buy shoes that are a little on the expensive side, to later find an inspired version for much cheaper. I’ve had my eye on the Steve Madden Reegal Pumps for some time, which were priced at $99.95 and recently went on sale for $69.97. I was over at Mandee searching for tank tops and I spotted the Mandee Suede Peep Toe with Ruffle Pumps which are the mirror image of the Steve Madden version. Best part of all – they’re only $28.00. I didn’t notice any drastic differences between the two, but I will point out that Steve Madden has a variety of colors from which to choose. I’m going with Mandee on this one, but are you? I’ve never been able to get into the whole eBay “thing”. I know so many who purchase (and sell) via eBay without even thinking twice but I’m either too nervous or something so I’ve yet to give it a try. I’m also still trying to determine what the “or something” is, so bear with me. I’m very much into designer handbags like the next stylista and there’s a huge selection from which to choose on eBay. My concern has always been whether the bag is authentic or not because I could only image how irate I’d become if I spent money on something that was described as authentic to find out that it was not.

Rather than shop on eBay, I think I’m going to give Yoogi’s Closet a whirl. Yoogi’s takes shopping and authenticity seriously, so you’re guarenteed to only find authentic items on the site. They even have Lucky mag vouching for them, so you’re in good hands. You have your pick from a fabulous array of handbags, shoes and jewelry, so I’m sure you’ll be able to find something you like.

So, I really want to hear from you all on this topic. Are you willing to take a chance and buy a designer good via eBay or do you stick to actual retail stores? Would you consider giving a site like Yoogi’s Closet a chance? Be sure to comment as I’d love to hear your thoughts.

The Emilio Pucci Cutout Studded Leather Pumps are nice to look at, and since I’m not crazy, that’s all I’ll be doing. The 5″ heel and 1″ platform shoe features silver-tone studding. Honestly, there’s no way I could ever see myself paying $1,150.00 for shoes, but I love them nonetheless. The good thing is that I’ve seen so many design inspired versions that it’s not a complete loss. Nevertheless, the Emilio Pucci Cutout Studded Leather Pumps will remain a Fantasy. Have you ever come across a shoe and suddenly felt yourself getting really excited – that is, until you scrolled down to the price and were struck had that awful like someone stole your lunch money? That’s exactly how I felt when I came across the Sergio Rossi Scalloped Suede Slingbacks. Sitting with a 5 1/4″ heel and 1″ platform, they have scalloped edging and bronze lining, which really makes the shoes “pop”. The price isn’t as bad as we usually see on Fantasy Files but it’s still out of my price range, so once again, they will remain in my fantasy file. I don’t know why I set myself up time and time again. Giuseppe Zanotti by far is one of my favorite premiere designers. Granted, I don’t own a pair, I can usually spot a pair on our favorite celebs. The Giuseppe Zanotti Crystal-embellished Sandals have a whopping $1100 price tag, but what can I say? *shrugs*

They feature a 4.5″ heel with a 1/2″ floating platform. The cutout detail and towering height will would look perfect paired with a cocktail dress. Too bad I don’t have nearly enough events to attend to justify the purchase. Be sure to comment and let me know what you think of this Fantasy File.

There’s no telling how many times I’ve looked over an item because of the stock photo. When shopping online, that’s usually the only thing you have to base your decision unless you happen to catch the same item in-store. The Not Rated Inked Cuffed Pumps were so not on my radar until I saw the image of the model wearing them on Endless.com.

The pumps, also available in black and some orangy-yellow school bus hue, are cute. They’re part sandal, part bootie which is a trend we’ve seen for nearly a year now. The peep toes have a 4 1/4″ heel with a 1/2″ platform and feature studded straps. Be sure to comment and let me know what you think of this Sole Satisfaction.

If you aren’t familiar with Michael Antonio, you’ve been sleeping far too long. You can also count on the line to have really great heels, sandals and boots season after season. Oh how I love the Michael Antonio Landors Pumps, let me count the ways.

From the sky high 5″ heel to the delicate bronze studding to its double platform, the detailing and craftsmanship far exceeds the price tag. It’s available in black and red, so take your pick. For the price, you might even want both. I have a “bad” habit of buying the same thing in multiple colors if I really like something. Does anyone else do that? As often as I can find them in my size, I try to get “different” shoes. Different meaning unique and something that I’m confident that I won’t see 20 other women wearing. My style is a bit eclectic as I like to mix vintage and new along with fabrics and textures that might seem a little unexpected. All of this is done, of course, in a totally classy way because I’m not trying to look like some clueless rag muffin.

I said all that to say I really like the Spiral Cross Over Shoes. Though I’m not really into florals, the pumps would look great paired with a Spring dress and lightweight cardigan (the Rodarte for Target cardigans instantly pop into my mind). The 100% leather peep toe shoes feature criss-cross elastic over the instep and have a teetering 4 1/2″ heel and 1″ platform. Sweet! We all know Steve Madden has always been inspired by other designers when designing his shoe collection. So it’s only right that other designers be inspired by him. The Steven Madden Trickked Pumps were definitely an inspiration for the Go Jane Suede Rosetta T Strap Pumps. When looking at both I can barely tell the difference, I noticed a few things like the color is little different but the only real difference is the price. When I purchased the Nine West Keysor Sandals last week, I didn’t realize how stripper-inspired they were. Perhaps if I’d paid more attention to the stock photo rather than simply trying to use the birthday coupon code before it expired, I wouldn’t have been as surprised when I received them yesterday. Granted, I like them as they look pretty sexy on, they aren’t exactly what I expected. I know I’ll get use out of them, especially considering Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, but they won’t be a staple black sandal I wear this Spring/Summer.

There’s something to be said for the classic peep toe style. I should probably take inventory of how many similarly-styled shoes I have in my closet. It’s a great design that can be styled up or down and it always looks great which is why I like the Guess by Marciano Kira Peep Toe Pumps.
