Unless you’ve been under a rock, you know that I adore accessories to no end. I seriously buy at least one new item per week (hence the jewelry armoire issue I have). I love bold pieces, long necklaces and I love to mix and match textures. Today, I was in a Aztec mood. I paired Erica Lyons Turquoise Dome Ring that a purchased more than five years ago with Erica Lyons Turquoise Layered Necklace that I bought about two weeks ago. I found the Merona Silver Bangles in Target about two weeks ago as well.
I purchase a large potion of my jewelry from Belk as pieces are typically well crafted and last for years. They have seasonal clearance sales and mark the accessories down ridiculously low so I rack up throughout the year.

Erica Lyons Turquoise Layered Necklace Reg $36.00 Clearance $7.99 / Belk
Erica Lyons Turquoise Dome Ring No clue of cost, but I’m sure I found it on sale / Parisian (now Belk)

A few months ago, I completely fell in love with owl jewelry. I kept telling myself to buy a ring, but I never got around to it until a week or so ago. To my surprise, I’m not alone in my love for this, what some would call “odd” trend. My blogging friend, @Odara112 mentioned that she’d purchased one as well. I was totally jealous when she said she found it on clearance at Target. Excusssssssse me, but how did I miss that sale?! She doesn’t know if yet, but since I’ve been unable to find it at my neighborhood Target, she’ll be sending me hers.
Ha! If she refuses to give me hers, I will be checking out Lulu‘s to find one similar.

I went to an artist showcase and I initially planned to go for an eclectic, funky fresh vibe. I found out it was another one of those “grown and sexy” events, so I ended up changing my wardrobe completely. Sidebar: Can we please be more creative and use terms other than grown and sexy? It’s so 2000 and late.
I went for an all black everything look and opted for all black and gold jewelry. I already had a few of these gems, but I picked up the watch, right hand ring and cuff bracelet from one of my favorite places…Target no less. I ended up taking the watch back the next day because the clasp never worked (I had to rig it for that night) and besides, I really want a nice, more expensive version. Be sure to comment and let me know what you think.

Merona Gold Watch $14.99 / Target
Goldtoned Right Hand Ring $16.99 / Target

Black and Gold Cuff Bracelet $16.99 / Target
Rachel Roy + Estelle Statement Ring was previously posted. I am SO glad I pre-ordred this ring as it’s no longer available and everyone LOVED it when I wore it Friday night.

Fashionably Frugal
A friend will be celebrating her 30th birthday next weekend and I haven’t figured out what I’m wearing just yet, but I think I’ll be adding the Like a Prayer Gloves to the list…at least for one of the nights for the weekend-long celebration. I didn’t get into the whole leather fingerless glove trend during the winter, but I do like the lace version quite a bit. Now, I just need to determine with what I’m pairing them.

I’m all about jewelry and two finger rings are one of my new favorite things. I went into the phase a few years ago and said I wouldn’t wear rings again until I got THE ring. You know the third finger left hand weight. So umm yeah, I got over that and now I love huge Katherine Chancellor rings (#shoutout to all of my Y&R fans) as well as more dainty but still statement-making two finger options. My first two finger ring purchase was from the Rachel Roy + Estelle limited collection. I’ll probably purchase a gold one – who am I kidding, I AM going to purchase a gold one. Hopefully I’ll find one with black stones. So, what do you think of this trend? Be sure to comment and let me know your thoughts.
